Now, Moluccas Province write a new history, Ambon city became the 35th World Peace Site and The Disposition of World Peace Gong permanently in Ambon City is such a pleasure for Maluku People.

The Declaration of World Peace Gong in Moluccas Province begin with some art and cultural performance organized by Cultural and Tourism Office of Moluccas Province. World Peace Site in “Taman Pelita” Ambon City has 17 and 8 stairs represents the date and month of Indonesia’s Proclamation. There are 4 escutcheon as a representative of the fourth ethnics in Moluccas Province; Central Moluccas, Buru, South East Moluccas, and North Moluccas.

Each escutcheon contents the ornament of each ethnic. The top of the site consist of 5 circle represents the year of the Indonesia Proclamation. The site symbolized the variety of Moluccas’ and Indonesia’s culture in maintaining The World Peace. The Declaration of World Peace Day in Ambon City was held on November 25th 2009, took place in “Taman Pelita” Ambon City. Under the theme “Eternal Peace”, The Declaration was opened by Republic of Indonesia’s President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono.

At the time, Governor of Maluku Karel Albert Ralahalu behalf Maluku People consign deep thank to The President of Republic Indonesia Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono for entrust the permanent disposition of World Peace Gong in Moluccas Province. Hopefully The World Peace Gong will remain Moluccas People that they are already successfully realized World Peace in Maluku and support them to maintain the eternal peace in Moluccas.
